Cartwright Gardens, Camden
Redevelopment of a block of outdated university halls of residence in the Bloomsbury Conservation Area. The case had to be made to demolish one of the buildings on site that was considered by the LPA to make a positive contribution to the conservation area. In addition the redevelopment of the site had to take into account the effects of the new buildings on local views, the significance of the conservation area and the setting of a number of nearby heritage assets.
